Dark Spots: Bear Run Nature Reserve, Mill Run, PA, was developed during DesignInquiry Bewilder, a week-long residency that included three nights of wilderness camping in the woods of Bear Run Nature Reserve in Mill Run, Pennsylvania. The publication explores what is hidden and revealed through a series of short texts and images taken in the forest at night, with gaps and holes between rocks, trees, and the earth. Through photographic documentation, poetic excerpts, and outside texts, Dark Spots comments on spaces in-between through spiritual and meditative approaches to remembrance.
